A Special Room Tour

Well, which is the most favourite place you have in your room? For me, it's my dearest room. It's the only place that I can expect some privacy.. Just days back I was wondering what would have happened if things in my room started talking.. The thought was quite scary yet interesting.. The mirror would have advised, to look at yourself before judging others. The door, would have said that no matter how difficult a challenge is, push yourself hard and you'll succeed for sure.  The fan, would most probably say no matter how much height you reach in your future, you should never forget your purpose of life and your ethics.  The AC would no doubt show how it's always cool no matter the surroundings . A perfect example of don't let anyone else's negativity affect you.  The window, it has the same scenario for everyone. Some people find the view beautiful while some find it boring.. But the window doesn't change itself for anyone. It tells that you will find peopl...

Dark Is Beautiful

"She was capable enough,  To Love,  To have a vision,  To nurture a family,  To carry galaxies in her eyes,  But,  Her skin was black." Based on these lines, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine which made me think about the gravity of the issue.   "Let’s scrub out that tan” is a common refrain in beauty parlours, where girls grow up with constant reminders that only fair skin is beautiful. Sentiments like, “She got lucky, he married her despite her 'dark' complexion” are still echoed in India. Children are complimented by relatives and friends for being the ‘fairer one’, in teenage and this bias keeps growing with age. The fairer you are, the more happiness you would get is the reality situation of the society. But now,  think of shoes. Some people love classic black shoes, while others prefer crisp white ones. Both serve the same purpose, both protect and comfort your feet. You don’t choose a shoe based on its color but on how w...

My Best Friend, My Mirror.

All of you have best friends, don't you? I too have.. She's that one who walked in my life when the rest walked out. I can't disclose her name(your guesses are always welcome) , but she's like a mirror to me. Not only to me, she actually is a mirror. You guys know two types of mirror  >Whom the evil Queen of Snow White, looks daily at, asking who is the fairest of them all. >Or the Looking Glass through which Alice enters another world. She's neither.  She's one of the tiny mirrors, in a disco ball, that works with other mirrors to spread light. She can be said to be those that along with other mirrors in Hall of Mirrors, bringing some fun into people's lives. Every day when you get up the mirror is what shows your true image. It does not hide your age, your wrinkles, your fears. It does not usually give pretty pictures, but it gives that realistic picture of you, which lets you know where you are now. It teaches you to look at yourself first before ...

A Rubik cube

If you were to compare yourself with a non-living thing then what would it be? Why? Talking about myself, I think a Rubik cube.. That's funny right? A cube representing me.  I'll tell why..  Personally, I feel I am always figuring myself out. I'm almost always changing, I don't have any definable character , I have innumerable likes, and they are constantly being juggled. Initially I was settled, knew my paths and my dreams.. But as time flew and I was exposed to the world I am no more sure about what I am doing, and whom I want to be.  I'm intensely annoying, but once I am understood, I know you all will love me. Those who know me well they know how I am. Gradually everyone understands me and there are very few, who hate me😉. I become a toy, a companion, a puzzle - sometimes in succession or sometimes simultaneously - and I am in a perpetual flux with respect to my identity. I'm quite colourful, and have many patterns (characters) and I enjoy them, and use th...

What a pencil can teach?

Today in our English class our teacher told us that we need to speak on what goes in a mind of any non-living thing.  Each child spoke on big, and enormous and lovely things.  I chose to speak about the life of a pencil.  You all want to hear?  Let the pencil only tell his story to y'all- '' Sometimes I don't know what is right Sometimes I don't know what is wrong Sometimes I don't know what to write Sometimes I don't know how to express Sometimes I become useless  Sometimes there seems to be nothing more useful than me.  I know mistakes our part of life and that is why pencils have, yes you guessed right.. Erasers. To be frank, eraser used to be my best friend earlier, but as days passed I came to an understanding that I seem to have never realized before. Why do I use an eraser? To erase my mistakes, to hid the wrong things I have done? But why? Why do I want to hide my mistakes? Was I wrong that I made a mistake? Is it possible for someone to not ma...

If stars can shine in darkness, so can you.

All of you must have seen a battery. Try imagining one. An important technology integrated into our society and around the world is the invention of battery. Among many inventions of our modern world, the battery stands out as an amazing on-going development with its effect on almost every portable electric powered device. But can this battery exist without it’s both, negative and positive charge? The answer is no. Similar is the case with life, full of ups and downs. There is darkness and there is light. There is negativity and positivity. None of this is intrinsically good or bad. A life is a happy one only when its dark side and bright side walk hand in hand. If a life had no downs, no awaiting challenges, no upcoming adventures, the life and our existence would have been infinite boredom. And if our life was full of darkness, nothing delightful, nothing amusing, no entertainment then we couldn’t have witnessed new experiences. We would have been completely unconscious. Always ...
